Councilmember Balducci first became active in civic life when she joined her neighbors to advocate for the revitalization of the Lake Hills community of Bellevue. She went on to serve as on the Bellevue City Council, including one term as Mayor. 她是地区领导人, serving as chair of the Sound Transit Board’s System Expansion Committee, president of the Puget Sound Regional Council and chair of the County’s Affordable Housing Committee. Mayor 汤姆•麦克劳德, was elected to the city council in 2016, and elected mayor in 2023. His financial expertise as a tax accountant has shaped Tukwila’s fiscal policies and accountability. As the former chair of the Public Safety Committee, he prioritizes expanding safety infrastructure. He advocates for police body cameras, 使用武力的政策, and optimal working conditions for first responders. He also contributes to the Transportation & 基础设施委员会, implementing the Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program and enhancing roadway safety. Before joining the City Council, he served on the Tukwila Planning Commission, focusing on sustainable city growth. Mayor McLeod currently represents Tukwila’s interests on the Growth Management Planning Council of 金县 and works to increase housing stability through the South 金县 Housing and Homelessness Partnership.
